Falling Needles

We took our Christmas tree down last Saturday. Always a little bittersweet, to keep with my Eeyore theme of this week. šŸ˜ It was drooping and sad looking. I stopped watering it a week or so before Christmas. I stopped watering it because as I tried to get to the pan one night to water it a stray mini limb gouged my eye out. It was really fluffy as you can see. (This was an early season video.)

I spent the next few days with a dull ache in my left eye that escalated into a sharp pain if I changed my line of vision. I spent the next week looking like a crack addict trying to kick the habit. At first both my eyes were red then just the one. Neither was a good look.

All in all a fitting end to 2020.

The house is back to normal. Time to finish strong the school year or start strong the fiscal year, however you look at that. Easter is the next big one on the horizon and we don’t decorate for that, not the point of that holiday. And I don’t celebrate Love Day.

And yes, a romance writer that hates Valentine’s…is definitely fodder for another post.
