That Summer Wind

A quiet Sunday here. Clearing out a room. Starting my painting project. This week the kids will go 2 days on 2 days virtual and then 1 day the entire school will be virtual.

I don’t know what I’m going to do for those 2 days they aren’t here. Work of course. Some of my plans to start an enrichment program for under-served youth are on hold until Spring when I hope there is some more clarity on the current cluster playing out. All I would be doing if I pushed that idea right now is overwhelming a system that is already overwhelmed. I’m really bummed but wait your time, as my grandfather always said.

New routines always tire me a little but I’m excited for the change. For now, back to throwing out random Legos and action figures missing limbs and the occasional gem that goes to my closet to be brought out when they are long gone.
